Packaging Design & Technology
This programme is designed to equip students with the advantage of acquiring skills specifically needed in the packaging design industry. This programme enables the student to fully understand the fundamentals of packaging design and production technology as well as visual communication, from its conception to production as well as enabling students to fully connect with industry.
Graduates will experience actual projects and joint projects, as well as incorporating the industry within the university concept (Indusity). Students would be trained to advertise and market their packaging design skills, which enhance management as well as enhancing their abilities as an entrepreneur, which prepares them for the industry.
Our graduates are well versed in international and expectations of the packaging design industry. Students are multi-skilled, versatile and capable of multitasking and, therefore, make a smooth transition into industry. Students are exposed to a wide range of digital photography and image manipulation software and entrepreneurship skills.
At the end of the programme, students will be able to translate ideas into visual form with details. The packaging that they produce will certainly be at par with industries quality standards. They will also be able to develop effective strategies for goal setting, time management and to execute design concepts to a professional standard.
Entry requirements
Pass an ‘O’ Level or an equivalent qualification from a recognition institution by the local Ministry of Education.
