Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Animation
The world of animation has diversified to many areas in the field of multimedia industry. This ever-growing industry portrays markets into various fields of research such as behavioral analysis, architectural visualization, script to screen process, and elements of filmmaking are among the areas covered in the design practice.
The B.A. in Animation programme at Limkokwing University College of Creative Technology is to explore the Fundamental aspects of Animation using contemporary approaches. Students will be taken to comprehensive programme of study aimed at developing creative thinking, technique, intellectual investigation and professional practice. The course is designed to be strongly practical and industry-oriented in character. Students will explore their own creative vision within the context of this diverse, multidisciplinary medium with the aim of shaping the developing and promising regional industry. Their understanding of industry will be enhanced through involvement in the semester long internship, improving their potential for eventual employment upon graduation.
The course also accommodate for games design development. As the innovative growth of the gaming industry is a profound market in the new millennia, students can venture into the many levels of games design and technology.
The outlines of the programme concentrate on all the stages of the production process similar to the workflow practiced by professionals from the related industry. Students will undergo a series of hands on and professional training to develop their skills in an industry based learning system.
Entry requirements
Pass an ‘O’ Level or an equivalent qualification from a recognition institution by the local Ministry of Education.
Advance Standing
- Pass a Foundation programme (minimum of 1 year), Pre-University, Matriculation in related field or discipline or any other equivalent qualification from a recognised institution by the local Ministry of Education; or
- Pass a Diploma programme (minimum at Year 1or Year 2) in related field or discipline or any other equivalent qualification from a recognised institution by the local Ministry of Education; and
- In the instance of above point, credit transfer can be awarded by Head of School or Programme Leaders based on individual cases through the inspection of results transcripts and course details (curriculum) in the related field or discipline from a recognised institution by the local Ministry of Education.
