Associate Degree in Animation
The world of animation has diversified to many areas in the field of multimedia industry. This ever-growing industry portrays markets into various fields of research such as behavioral analysis, architectural visualization, script to screen process, and elements of filmmaking are among the areas covered in the design practice.
Students are taught to explore the Fundamental aspects of Animation using contemporary approaches. Students will be taken to a comprehensive programme of study aimed at developing creative thinking, technique, intellectual investigation and professional practice. The course is designed to be strongly practical and industry-oriented in character. Students will explore their own creative vision within the context of this diverse, multi-disciplinary medium with the aim of shaping the developing and promising regional industry. Their understanding of industry will be enhanced through involvement in the semester long internship, improving their potential for eventual employment upon graduation.
The Animation course equips the graduates with the knowledge of the fundamentals and principles of classical animation, which will serve as the solid foundation for every type, kind and style of animation. The course also equips the graduates with script and storytelling skills for animation.
The outlines of the programme concentrate on all the stages of the production process similar to the workflow practiced by professionals from the related industry. Students will undergo a series of hands on and professional training to develop their skills in an industry based learning system.
Entry requirements
Pass an ‘O’ Level or an equivalent qualification from a recognition institution by the local Ministry of Education.
