Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Business and ICT degrees provide students with the skills they need for the careers they want?

The faculty seeks to produce students of this type. Ones who are capable of commanding a competitive qualification and at the same time exude the appropriate leadership qualities.

The most basic form of education is being injected into the curriculum where graduates would have undertaken modules like Fundamentals of Leadership, Leadership Traits and Behaviours, Leadership Skills and Competencies, Leadership and Decision Making. These modules are structured and designed to educate graduates on the common qualities and skills to become leaders. This is to ensure that the formal methods of leadership are instilled in order for them to start ‘leading’ after graduation. It is important that leadership traits and qualities are not delivered to be too ‘educational’, skills like Information Technology and Creativity, among many are being introduced as well.

The Industry program was recently introduced to provide students the platform to exercise their skills and knowledge. Termed after ‘Industry’ in ‘University’, real life projects have been injected into the curriculum. This way, students practically underwent proper training and undertake industry-based projects with the companies being the clients. Different from conventional education systems where real life companies are used merely as case-studies, the completion of these projects will provide the students the required experience particularly in the area of client-servicing, project management and resource planning among some.
