Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between architecture and interior achitecture?

Generally, Architecture involves designing a building that includes all the technical, environmental and cultural aspects of the design. Interior Architecture on the other hand deals more with the design of interior spaces, which could involve minimal structural and technical aspects for the design.

Do I need to be good at art?

You will be taught how to do the necessary technical drawing so there is no need for previous exposure. However, any exposure in either the Arts or Technical Drawing subjects at High School level would be an advantage.

Do I need to be good at mathematics?

There is no specific requirement for Mathematics to enroll in the program, but it would be an advantage. Our Associate Degree programs offer modules that involve calculations to prepare students for advanced modules such as Construction and Structure.

Why does the course take longer than most degrees?

Architecture training covers a wide-ranging discipline that includes technical, cultural, and professional knowledge besides design that prepares the students for a career in the building industry. The profession requires sound professional judgments and therefore a student must be sufficiently trained for such situation. Generally, our programs are designed to provide the necessary skills to the students through successive projects that are integrated between subjects to simulate the real practice.

Who will be teaching me?

Lecturers involved in the programs have various qualifications related to the profession. There are also lecturers who are practicing architects and interior architects who are able to share with students their extensive and updated knowledge in the industry.
